Elizabeth is a surface pattern designer and decorative artist living in London. Founder of Indi Skoven Prints, she creates artwork designed for use across packaging, stationery, textiles and decorative prints. Elizabeth also receives bespoke decorative commissions for projects including mural painting and hand-painted stationery for weddings and other special occasions.
Elizabeth’s painterly work is inspired by anything considered to be a bit whimsical, wonderful and wild. The name ‘Indi Skoven’ is taken from the Danish for ‘into the woods’ – a reflection of the Scandinavian value placed on connecting nature with inspiring design. She draws out ideas from bohemian Bloomsbury painting, folk art tradition, heritage buildings and fabrics, and, it goes without saying, anything you might find in a forest.
Recent commissions include creating work for the British Council, King’s College London, Clipper Teas and The Dulwich Picture Gallery.
